A Busy Life!!

It has been a while since I have blogged....as you can tell by my blog title, we have been BUSY! Since my last post, so much has changed.
First, I have gone back to work.....SO SAD. The day before I went back I cried a river. Once I got to work and cried some more, I was fine. Jarrett's mom (now called Nonnie) was here for the week so I knew he was in good hands! However, I was so happy to come home and see my sweet boy!

Secondly, Football season has ended. The Saturday before the Thanksgiving break, Jarrett' s mom and I headed to Abilene for the second round of the playoffs for Permian. They lost that game to Arlington Martin 25 -15 eding this season.

After that game, we headed back to Midland to watch Abilene Cooper play. Jarrett's brother coaches there, so Nonnie got to spend the week with her favorite grandson and watch both of her boys in action!! Uncle Wes was so happy to see Kyler after the game.

Lastly and most importanly, Kyler has GROWN so much! He is such a blast and is a great baby. Jarrett and I talk about what a blessing he is for us. During the break, both sides of the family met him for the first time. He was passed around more this week than he was when he was a newborn! Kyler had a couple of photo sessions with Nonnie during the week..........

Kyler loves the Permian Football players....several of them like to hold him and they are so gentle with him. It is so funny to see them so gentle...not quite like the hard hitting boys I watch on Friday nights!! They are great kiddos and so pleasant!

Big Week for Coach L

Friday the 16th, Jarrett turned 30! I can't believe how fast time goes by the older you get. He had a fabulous birthday. That morning Kyler and I went to the homecoming pep rally. I forgot my camera....ugh. I was so mad at myself, but Kyler and I were meeting another coaches wife and her boys for donuts before the pep rally and I was running a tad bit late! I guess I am still adjusting to the amount of time it takes me to get myself and a baby ready and out the door! That night we went to the football game. Yes I know.....I can hear some of you now......your thinking that you can't believe that I had him at the game. Half way through I couldn't believe it myself. Ratliff stadium is out in the middle of no where and the wind gets pretty chilly. Anyway, Kyler was completely covered the entire game and was hot when we got to the car. Ahh, the life of a coaches kid!! Permian won so Jarrett was in a great mood and said that his birthday couldn't have ended better!! Saturday night his parents and my parents were in town so we could have Jarrett a small celebration.

Kyler woke up just in time for Daddy to open the present from him. WOWZA....I look SO tired!

After we got home, Kyler played in a gift we received from Jarrett's Aunt. He LOVED it!

I had to put this picture on here. He looks like my dad when he was a baby. My grandmother tells me that my dad always had a serious look on his face and that they called him "The Judge". Here is Kyler's "Judge" picture. I was trying to make him smile but he was not having any part of it at that moment!!

Kyler's First Pep Rally

Friday morning I took Kyler to his first MOJO pep rally. Unfortunately, he slept the entire time. However, Jarrett loved having him there to show him off.....and if I may say so, he was quite adorable!!

Somebody Loves Bathtime!

Last night before his bath, Jarrett held Kyler up so he could look at himself in the mirror. When I got in the bathroom, Kyler was just looking at himself and was completely stiff! It was so funny, so I ran to get the camera.....BUT of course, by the time I got back in there he had lost interest in looking at himself! I did manage to get a couple of pictures of him through the mirror and in his bath tub! He LOVES taking a bath. Infact, while bathing him, we get more smiles that any other time of day. I can't wait until he can sit up in the tub on his own!

Kyler is Growing!

It is so hard to believe that Kyler has already been here for three weeks especially since his due date was this past Wednesday! He is such a good baby. He is on a schedule and that makes life so easy! He went to his first football game last Friday night. He was a trooper and slept the entire game. I was so suprised that he didn't wake up during any of the MOJO chants!! Jarrett and I are really enjoying him and love being parents. Jarrett is great with him and so helpful....did I mention how much Kyler LOVES his daddy? Yes, I think he is going to be a daddy's boy, BUT he loves his mommy too and I have already decided he will be a Texas Longhorn Fan!!!
